With great pleasure, the Department of Geoinformatics at Palacký University Olomouc and the Department of Information and Library Studies, Masaryk University, Brno are announcing an invitation to the prestigious twin conferences: 22nd Cognition and Artificial Life and the 1st Central Europe Conference on Eye-tracking. Both conferences are located in the same venue simultaneously, and participants can attend both of them.

22nd Cognition and Artificial Life Conference (CAL) in English and Czech
The Cognition and Artificial Life conference is a well-established scientific interdisciplinary event with over 20 years of tradition. It creates a space for the presentation of the work of experts interested in various aspects and methods of cognition research, whether in living or artificial systems. Contributions from relevant cognitive disciplines such as cognitive psychology, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, cognitive anthropology, and others are welcome.
1st Central Europe Conference on Eye-tracking (CECE) in English
The first Central Europe Conference on Eye-tracking aims to be a vibrant hub for scholars and practitioners from varied fields employing eye-tracking as an investigative tool. Whether you're exploring the basics of eye movements or using eye-tracking in practical settings, we want to hear from you. Share your methods, experiences, and findings from any field, whether psychology, UX, cognitive cartography, scene perception, neuroscience, or beyond.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions can be made in three formats – talks, posters, or practical workshops. Participants can decide whether they will submit an abstract (up to 500 words) or a short paper (up to 1200 words) and can specify the preferred conference for their submission. All submissions must be written in English and will be published in Conference Proceedings (online) with ISBN.
Abstract submission: 7th February 2024
Notifications of acceptance: 22nd February 2024
Early bird registration: 7th March 2024
Conference date: 15th – 17th May 2024

The registration fee includes participation in all official conference events, including welcome drinks, coffee breaks, and social events (banquet, concert, free entrance to the Science Centre). It does not include accommodation and travel expenses you must pay and organize alone.
